Cedega, Crossover & Wine…
The difference’s well I have found that both Cedega and Crossover are more GUI based and Wine seems to be more command line based.
I have found that Crossover was better as World of Warcraft ran straight away where as I had problems with Cedega and Wine. I think the biggest problem I have had so far is to do with the graphics card drivers.
First off I had an ATI X1800XT and I had loads of problems getting it to work. The problem that I had was to do with either 3D acceleration and the ATI Drivers. Now to solve this I borrowed a friends Nvidia graphics card and low and behold it worked fine. So I went and bought a brand new Nvidia 8500 Graphics card.
Problems again…. My old installation of Ubuntu 7.04 had gone bad so I tried to reinstall and now the X server is not working. Reinstalled Ubuntu and then installed some of the Nividia-glx package and the did the SH command as stated. The problem after reboot it killed by X server again. So after the weekend I will try this again and kick the sh*t out of my PC.
